We have been learning to take photos using different angles and camera techniques.
An example of some students’ work is shown below.
The students enjoyed doing this task. The work of all students in Poto Ono will be displayed at the Mitey Art Exhibition.
With Mrs Raj, learners in Potu Ono enjoyed the writing task today.
Using the writing prompts was really engaging for the learners. The boys in particular loved the task and started to write down their thoughts and reasons for selecting one or the other option from the writing prompts.
Here are some examples of the mahi the students did.

School leaders from Poto Ono are going on a trip to Wellington to learn more about leadership, rights and responsibilities, and good citizenship.
Thanks to the School Board and our Principal Christina Patea, the students will be flying to Wellington, visiting Te Papa Museum, go on a waka, visit Parliament and learn how to be great leaders. Have fun, school leaders!
Today my learners and I learnt how to create our own personalised QR code for our blogging .
Learners in Poto Ono support each other and show each other Manaakitanga. As their classroom teacher I am very proud of my learners.
Today in Potu Ono Mrs Raj took a lesson on “How big is our digital footprint?” and taught the students the importance about what they should share and what they shouldn’t share online. They also learnt how to take a screenshot of their work and share their work on their individual blogs.
Resource used: ‘How Big is my Digital Footprint’
The activity was:
Watch the video.
Understand how big our digital footprint is.
Identify key words in the provided activity.
Colour the background on the slide.
Take a screenshot of the slide
Go to your individual blog and create a new post.
Write about what you learnt today and add your slide screenshot and insert it in your post.
The task for blogging: Type in your title, write what you learnt today during the lesson, insert your slide identifying key words into the post and publish your work.
Mrs Raj is seen supporting Mr Matautia to help the Tamaiti in Potu Iva to Learn, Create and Share.
